First Meeting

On May 6, Anime Club had its first official meeting. Funny enough one of our leaders was a sleep (sorry that I woke you up). After sorting out what Anime Club will be doing in the future, which is summarized later, we watched the start of two shows: Clannad and Kannagi. Both were visually stunning and had amazing voice actors that captured the moods quite well.  As the episodes ran on, I discreetly (cough cough) caught pictures of the club!

Near the end of the meeting, Jonah Silverstein was appointed Treasure of Anime Club.  Congrats to Jonah!
Remember, we are also looking for contributors who would be willing to make reviews of animes or mangas for the club at least once a month.

In the future, we will be organizing things such as:

  • Fundraisers:
    • Bake Sales
    • Origami Fortunes
  • Events:
    • Origami Expo
    • Geocaching Weekend Search
    • End of Year Anime Party
    • Possibly going to an Anime Convention with some of the fundraiser money
  • Artsfest Workshop (suggestions for ideas appreciated)

For those who will either contribute on a basis, or just want to do one, a review guideline will be made soon.
Thursday was extremely fun and I hope the following weeks will be as well!

Clannad

I have yet to finish Clannad, however so far its been pretty much amazing.  Clannad is part of a famous trinity of Air, Canon and itself, with the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya making it more recently a quadrangle.  This anime has it all: humor, romance, action, and lots of tears.  And girls. And guys. Its pretty much epic.  You should watch it, now.
